Field mowing
Fuel-reduction and access mowing on parcels 1 acre and larger. Deck height and cover goals are informed by SageSTEP research (Ellsworth 2022) and adjusted to your understory.
Landworks A2Z helps landowners reduce wildfire fuel continuity, keep access lanes usable, and handle light grading, excavation, cleanup, and hauling — with research-informed mowing practices and an on-site look before we prescribe a treatment.
A voice agent answers first — it can take a couple of questions, then transfer you. That keeps spam and marketing calls off the working line.
Practical field work for ranches, acreages, and access roads around the Madison Valley — sized for 1+ acre jobs and light earthwork, not landscaping crews.

Light grading to keep driveways and ranch roads usable — shaping surface drainage and smoothing washboard without heavy construction scopes.
Driveway maintenance and cleanup, culverts, road base, and gravel spreading for access lanes and yard pads.
Debris cleanup and hauling tied to land and access work — clearing what mowing and light excavation leave behind so the site is usable again.
Published rates for planning. Final quotes still need a site visit.

Travel distance from the Cameron / Ennis area affects total cost. Call, chat, or use the contact form for a site visit before we lock a prescription or firm price beyond published rates.
Based in the Madison Valley. Primary coverage includes Cameron, Ennis, and West Yellowstone, Montana, plus nearby Madison Range country when travel time makes sense.
We use published fuel-treatment research as framing — not a one-size prescription. Every ranch and parcel still needs a walk-through.

Related caution (Davies, Bates & Nafus 2012 and similar): mowing alone on sites with degraded herbaceous understories can favor exotic annuals and increase fine-fuel continuity.
NRCS / fuel-break practice notes often discuss mowing strips and retreat when regrowth exceeds roughly ~15 in — useful framing, not a substitute for an on-site look.
Landworks A2Z is a DBA of WoodWorks A2Z LLC. We focus on mechanical mowing, light earthwork, cleanup, and hauling for landowners in southwest Montana — not home watch, landscaping, or prescribed fire.
Formerly marketed as Madison Range Land Management. Same crew, clearer name for land and access work.
